An opportunity currently exists for a motivated individual to take on an IT Team Lead role within the Trade project team of this large and highly reputable Investment Bank.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design and integration of application programs across multiple platforms
  
• Coaching and developing team members to provide them with appropriate skills and competencies to effectively enhance, support and maintain the application systems
  
• Ensuring operational and system documentation is created and maintained
  
• Engage with business users and other technical teams
  
• Planning, controlling and status reporting of development and integration activities
  
• Analysing and troubleshooting complex technical issues to deliver required system functionality and/or provide production stability and reliability
  
• Supervising a team and providing 'hands-on' technical leadership and people management functions including objectives setting, performance appraisals and development plans
  

Skills/Experience Required:

• Strong background in design and implementation of BankTrade and GPS software solutions
  
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  
• Preparedness to perform technical activities in addition to supervising the work of team members
  
• Customer service focus
  
• Excellent oral and written communication
  
• Team player and able to work with minimum supervision.
  
• Work well under pressure, and can multi-task
  
• Knowledge of the following technologies.
  - IBM Mainframe: DB2, COBOL, CICS, JCL, OPC and Endevor
  - MQ Series
  - Windows XP and 2003 server platforms (Security, System Configuration and Operations, etc)
  - IIS, Java, Websphere
  - SQL Server 2000 Administration and Development
